Everyone knows quest-style games where the player looks for objects in the scene. Well, creating backgrounds for PATH - The Urban Quest (Austria) was an amazing architecture experience for me.
We created around 40 images, including close-ups, panoramics, and dark rooms in different locations inside Vienna, where the game takes place.
All images went to 3D software, where they transform the scene for the game.
Participating in the project was challenging, as we had a deadline for each package of images to be delivered.
We were able to create beautiful and faithful images of the places with old or unusable references and photographs.
All drawings were created from 0, and had. The goal of being realistic.
The most complex part of the entire group was the overview of Vienna, which would need detailing in the cathedral. It would take 2 days just for this illustration.
The result was great, realistic as we expected.
We ended up creating a dynamic delivery workflow, which made the process very smooth.
